Hitler and the Holy Lance
The Holy Lance, also known as the
spear of destiny is
purported to be the spear which was to used by Longinus to stab
Jesus in his side while he hung on the cross. Whether or not
The spear captured by Hitler was actually the same that pierced the
side of Jesus on the cross will never be known for sure, but
it does have a long history in European folk lore, having been in
the possession of many of Europe's powerful rulers.

On 12th March 1938, the day Hitler
annexed Austria, His first action was to take possession of the
Spear which he immediately sent to Nuremberg, the spiritual capital
of Nazi Germany. At that point, Hitler believed he possessed
incredible powers , and there was no stopping him. World War II was
perhaps inevitable.
As per Gustl Kubizek [August Kubizek] a Childhood friend of Hitler,
at the age of 15 after listening to Wagner's Rienzie play , a
bizarre force
possessed Hitler. A powerful frenzied voice began emanating
from Hitler' and began spewing forth visions of how he
was going to change history, he would one day receive a Mandate from
the people to lead them ...
"...from servitude to the heights of freedom, a
special mission which would one day be entrusted to him."
In the following decade the young Hitler while struggling to eek
out an existence in Vienna undertook a intense study of
the Occult . He claimed in Mein Kampf , that these had been
..
" ..the most vital years of his life in which he learned all he
needed to know to lead the Nazi Party."

during this period
he developed one of his many
obsessions, in particular with a relic in the Hapsburg museum in Vienna,
The Spear of Destiny .
As per legend, he who possessed of the Spear possessed incredible
occult power and the spear would bring its
owner the power to conquer the world, but losing it would
bring immediate death. Occultists subscribe great
power to this Spear of Destiny, also known as the Holy Lance
and Spear of Longinus.
The relic had been owned by a succession of powerful
European rulers down through the centuries and eventually
came to be in the possession of the Hapsburg Dynasty. Hitler is purported to have stated that the first
time he saw the Spear he had witnessed extraordinary visions
of his own destiny unfolding before him.
"The
Spear appeared to be some sort of magical medium of revelation
for it brought the world of ideas into such close and living
perspective that human imagination became more real than the
world of sense. I felt as though I, myself, had held it in my
hands before in some earlier century of history -- that I,
myself, had once claimed it as my talisman of power and held the
destiny of the world in my hands. Yet, how could this be
possible? What sort of madness was this that was invading my
mind and creating such turmoil in my breast?" - Hitler

| The first sign of
the spears power was the purported healing of Gaius Cassius’s
failing eyesight by blood from the wound he created in Christ's
side with the spear. The centurion allegedly later
become a convert to Christianity. The Spear subsequently passed
through a multitude of hands, coming into the possession of many
of Europe’s most important political and military leaders,
including Constantine I, Frankish general Charles Martel used
the spear in battle , Charlemagne, Frederick of Barbarossa,
Frederick II. A leader who possessed the Spear was said to be
invincible; Charlemagne { He lived and slept within reach of the
spear, and attributed 47 battle victories to its powers}. and
Frederick of Barbarossa were undefeated in battle until they let
the Spear fall from their hands. Napoleon attempted to take it
following the Battle of Austerlitz. Unfortunately for him, it
had already been smuggled into Vienna from Nuremberg just prior
to the battle, and he never obtained it. A legend arose
that whoever claimed the Spear “holds the destiny of the world
in his hands for good or evil.”

Nuremberg was eventually captured by Allied
troops the vault was subsequently discovered by American Army officers. The
spear was confiscated by American forces on the afternoon of April 30, 1945,
less than two hours before Hitler’s suicide in his underground bunker in Berlin.
Like the Spear’s previous owners, Hitler perished after the relic was taken from
him.
There are rumors that the spear returned to
Vienna is not the same spear that Hitler took, the Spear may have been
counterfeited by General Patton, and the actual spear may be in US possession.
There are also claims by
Dr. Howard A. Buechner 
that the spear currently on display in Vienna is a fake and the actual spear
,the real spear was sent by Hitler to Antarctica along with other Nazi treasures.
Note: Hitler's religious
views have been a matter of much controversy, largely because of conflicting and
inconsistent statements attributed to him The relationship between Nazism and
religion was complex and at times changed as the Nazi movement expanded and
ultimately collapsed.
