The Logos Become Flesh
<Back
Logos
is a Greek word with various meanings. Generally It is translated into
English as "Word" but logos also has deeper meanings- thought, reason,
ethics, logic, and to a certain point Gnosis or Knowledge all are born
within the simple two syllable word "Logos" . As per
Philo... "Logos is a mediating principle between God and
the world and can be understood as God's Word or the Divine Wisdom
[Gnosis],
which is immanent in the world."
Christians believe that Jesus is the
Logos, the word of God become flesh ...John
1:1 "In the beginning was the [Logos] Word, and the [Logos]
Word was with God, and the [Logos] Word was God." .... "14 ..The
[Logos] Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
... "
The archetypical prototype for Jesus [The Logos become flesh] existed long before the
timeframe the Gospels tell us that the "Word became flesh" .
The word of God has become flesh time and again in Mediterranean and
near eastern religions a multitude of times.
That Christianity borrowed from other Religions in creating the Deified
Christ is undeniable . The proofs are extensive and exhaustive. The
Mythological deified Jesus Christ remotely resembles the actual
Historical Jesus Christ. Elements of the Mythos of Christ can be traced
to many earlier Allegories and Fables. The myths and legends of countless
societies are integrated into the completed Jesus Saga . All religions
are influenced by their predecessors and contemporary neighbors and
all religions can ultimately be traced back to the original
religion[s] of primitive man which is based in one form or another
on Sun and Nature worship.

The Egyptian pharaohs were considered to be
"the word of God become flesh"
or incarnations of the
Egyptian Logos/God ,Horus. By making this claim the pharaohs were able to acquiesce
a Divine right to rule, they considered
themselves not only answerable to God and God alone, but to in essence
be a God become flesh.
Amenophis III Egypt- About
2,000 BC, Mut-em-ua, the virgin Queen of Egypt, was said to have given birth to this
Pharaoh. The god Kneph mystically impregnated the queen by holding a cross
{Ankh}, the symbol of life, to her mouth. By some accounts he was the
reincarnation of Horus
, as all Egyptian Pharaohs were said to be an Earthly
incarnation of Horus, and the name of Horus generally formed part of
their name. This
practice morphed through successive societies where Monarchs and rulers
throughout the ages seized upon variations of this theme placing
themselves and their offspring in a royal pantheon . The theory of
Divine Right of Kings in Europe is a later version of the Pharaoh/Horus
scenario.
A cult of Messiah
developed about Alexander the Great, he was claimed to be born of a Virgin
and having had no Earthly father, although it was well known that
Phillip of Macedonia was his Earthly father. A cult of Messiah also
developed around Julius Cesar, it was claimed that he was born of a
Virgin and had no Earthly father , although his Earthly fathers
existence was well documented. The Cult
of Divus Juluis became very prominent in the years following his
assassination. {The Book of Mark may be a rework based on Julius Caesar
and the cult of Divus Juluis
Jesus was Caesar: On the Julian origin of Christianity, an Investigative Report
}
And last but
not least a Hebrew Revolutionary known as Yeshua {Joshua}
was claimed to be born of a Virgin
and had no Earthly father, although it was known that Joseph was
his Earthly father. A Cult of Messiah developed around the Revolutionary
leader - Joshua [Jesus}, and the rest is History [turned upside down].
"... Archetype Myths
can
elicit a response from Christians and non-Christians alike. And
indeed, it was precisely through an emphasis on such archetypal aspects
that Christianity, in the hands of its missionaries , was able to
establish itself in societies as alien as sixteenth -century Mexico and
Japan. ..... "

A conqueror and statesman of ancient
Greece, I use the term statesman which generally would not apply to
most conquerors. He is an historical enigma he built an Empire which
comprised most of the known World but also was Centuries ahead of
his time in terms of his philosophy and ideology, he was so greatly
advanced beyond the times socially and philosophically that one
might argue he was from another era and transplanted into the
ancient World. One of the curses of his advanced thinking was that
his Empire could not survive after his early death, there were none
who could replace him. A cult of Messiah developed
about Alexander the Great, he was claimed to be born of a Virgin
and having had no Earthly father {Although at times Phillip of
Macedonia is listed as his father.} had his Empire and Cult survived
any length of time after his demise many today would probably be
worshipping the deified Alexander son of the
virgin Olympias.

Mongol Messiah of sorts - born around
1165 and died in either 1207 or 1227 .
The philosophy of this Mongolian devil
can best be summed up in a statement attributed to him ... "The
greatest joy a man can know is to conquer his enemies and drive them
before him. To ride their horses and take away their possessions. To
see the faces of those who were dear to them bedewed with tears, and
to clasp their wives and daughters in his arms" a belief among
Mongols and some of the conquered that he was a god-like figure
developed and he was said to be the Son of the Sun. Other
members of his dynasty and genre bore similar titles Kublai Khan -The Mongol Warlords: Ghengis Khan, Kublai Khan, Hulegu, Tamerlane

Strong evidence has recently been
published that tends to point to support the theory that the Book of Mark
may be a rework
based on Julius Caesar and the cult of Divus Juluis ,{
Jesus was Caesar: On the Julian origin of Christianity, an Investigative Report
} points out a multitude of linguistic anomalies and quirks that all
point to significant and uncanny parallels between
Christ
and Caesar. If this is the case , one must consider the fact the
Bible Scholars both Christian and non-Christian concur that Because of
striking similarities in language and content, Matthew and Luke drew
upon Mark's earlier gospel in writing their own. In addition the
Historical lineage of the Gospels has never been sufficiently reconciled
when compared to the Historical records of the period in which it is said to be based -
Palestine Circa 3 - 33 AD . But when comparing the Historicity to that
of Rome in the era of Julius Caesar / Divus Juluis many more pieces of
the puzzle begin to snap into place.
Mythical Gnostic Saviors

"The legend
of the voluntary victim who in a passion of divinest pity became
incarnate and was clothed in human form and feature for the salvation of
the world, did not originate in a belief that God had manifested once
for all as an historic personage. It has its roots in the remotest past.
The same legend was repeated in many lands with a change of name, and
(Page 143) at times of sex, for the sufferer, but none of the initiated
in the esoteric wisdom ever looked upon the Kamite [Egyptian] Iusa, or
Gnostic Horus, Jesus, Tammuz, Krishna, Buddha, Witoba, or any other of
the many saviors as historic in personality, for the simple reason that
they had been more truly taught." [Massey:
Ancient Egypt, the Light of the World ,
p. 211. ]

Early
recording of God-like Savior born of Virgin mother and later being
Resurrected from the dead is found in Egypt, 3-4,000 years before Christ. Some
scholars attempt to draw more parallels than are actually evident
between the two deities
The Story focuses on Osiris, Isis, and Horus, reputably known as the
original Holy family; the father, the mother, the son. The Mediterranean mystery
religions , which are in actuality the same religion culturally
adjusted are believed to have had their origins in the Osiris-Horus
saga, and the Jesus saga arose in large part from these "Mystery
religions" .
Thulis

Egypt -
Also known as Zulis. His history is illustrated in the sculptures, made circa
1700 BC of a small, retired chamber lying nearly over the western
adytum of the temple. Twenty-eight lotus plants near his grave
indicate the number of years he lived on the earth. He suffered a
violent death, was buried, but rose again, ascended into heaven,
and there became the judge of the dead, or of souls in a future
state. He came down from heaven to benefit mankind, and that he was
said to be full of grace and truth.
Elements of his legend are said to be the basis of the secret Thule
society which is credited by some with having been the mentors of
Hitler
.
Tammuz

Thamuz -Personage
or deity existing in Syria in the Twelfth Century BC. This story seems to have
coexisted with the story of Atys and is in the same timeframe as the
Krishna Legend. May be based on a factual occurrence , although as in all
Legends the story has more than likely been degenerated over time and geography
. Another Tammuz appears as the Great Grandson of Noah - Son and
brother of Nimrod, or possibly reincarnation of Nimrod of Babylon.
An early Messiah and a "Sun God". Tammuz is mentioned in the
pseudigraph [Ezekiel 8:14]

Druid god also know as Essus, Esos, Hesus, Tarvos Trigaraunos who appears
frequently in the early centuries of Christianity in Europe. The Legend depicts
Esus as having been crucified with a lamb on one side and an elephant on the
other. And he was the product of a Virgin birth . The phonetic
similarity of Hesus with not only Jesus but also Horus is natable.

Kersey Graves

or Godfrey Higgins'
Anacalypsis
are often cited
stating that Krishna was crucified in a similar fashion to Jesus, unfortunately
for the advocates of these writings it never happened, not in any of the Hindu
scriptures I've ever seen or heard of. No such event occurred in the Bhaga
vad Gita or in any recognized Hindu scriptures. The Vishnu Purana speaks of Chrishna being shot in the foot with an arrow
and states this was the cause of his death. Other accounts state that he was suspended on a tree in some respects - "crucified".

Tibet
was crucified
by the keepers of the Hindu Garden of Paradise for stealing
the blossom . He has
been depicted nailed to the cross .There are five wounds,
representing the nail-holes and the piercing of the side.
Many stories are told of the birth of this Divine Redeemer.
His mother was a virgin of black complexion, and hence his
complexion was ebony , as in the case of Christ and some
other sin-atoning saviors. He descended from heaven on a
mission of benevolence, and ascended back to heaven after
his crucifixion.
The Encyclopedia of Tibetan Symbols and Motifs
In an out of print antiquated book "
Tibetinum Alphabetum" which no one can find, but many
have quoted from, it states a Catholic monk, named
Georgius, presented images of a crucified god-man,
worshipped in Nepal, prior to the timeframe ascribed to
Jesus. Crucifixes were said to be found at the
crossroads of Nepal and Tibet before the arrival of
Christians.
Andrada la Crozius, a
French missionary, and one of the first Westerners
documented as having traveled there in the Modern era
[recorded era] states that this god-man was Indra, who
was said to have shed his blood for the salvation of
humanity. Andrada la Crozius wrote in his History
of India [p.85] " The Grand Llama celebrates a
species of sacrifice with bread and wine .."
Bali
In India, in the South at Tanjore, and in the North, at
Oude or Ayiondia, was found the worship of the crucified god
Bal-li. This god, who was believed to have been an
incarnation of Vishnu, was represented with holes in his
hands and side (Higgins,
Anacalypsis
, vol. i. pp. 147).

Sakia
" The Worlds Sixteen Crucified Saviors
" His emblem was the cross, One of
his crimes for which he was crucified is that he illegally
plucked a flower. After he was crucified, he was
buried for three days, an then rose from the dead. His
titles included "Savior of the World" and "Light of the
World." His mother was known as "The Holy Virgin,
Queen Of Heaven." -- The primary sources
mentioning Sakia are Higgins and Graves and those copying
their works. There is one mention of a Sakia in the Old
testament, but no connection between the alleged Indian
Sakia can be drawn. and this is most likely a regionally
adapted version of Buddha {Sakia-Buddha} which they picked
up.

Buddha - Lived and Preached
approximately 500 years before Jesus Christ. The teachings of Buddha are
basically parallel to that of Christ. As per Krishna/Vishnu of the
Hindu-Buddhist Pantheon - "When goodness grows weak, when
evil increases, I make myself a body. In every age I come back to deliver the
holy, to destroy the sin of the sinner; to establish righteousness."
Buddha is believed by his followers to be one of these 'Avatars'

Attys - Crucifixion date of 1170 BC,
but Attys may be another name for Dionysus in the Greek pantheon. and was also
referred to as Bacchus. In Phrygia {Central Turkey} Atys/Attis was called the
Good Shepherd, and was said to be the son of the virgin Nana. He was shown as "slain and hanged on a tree." the effigy was
buried in a tomb. On the night of March 24, the priests opened the tomb and
found it empty. The Resurrection of Attis was celebrated on March 25. His
followers were baptized in blood, declared to have been "born again."

Quirinus -
A
mysterious God of ancient Rome. believed to have predated the
establishment of the city of Rome, as he was a God of the Sabines, a people who existed in
the vicinity of Rome before its founding. The story of Quirinus was
later mingled with the story of Romulus, one of the founders of Rome.. He was conceived and brought forth by a virgin, crucified, and ascended into Heaven
three days later. The story of Quirinus is actually two stories merged into one
the original version of Quirinus which predated Rome and the deified story
of Romulus - founder of the city of Rome.

A Jesus character bearing
similarities to Jesus Christ, who existed a Century before the
Gospel Jesus. The cult of this Jesus was still extant upon the
fall of Jerusalem and subsequent Diaspora. Many of the Biblical
attributes designated to Jesus of Galilee actually were archetype
memories and adaptations from this Jesus. It has been speculated that he
was a Nazarene, although this is not certain as records of this
Jesus are scant, having been lost to the ravages of time and Rome.
