Wunderwaffe

Wunderwaffe "English - wonder weapon"  was a term assigned by the Nazi propaganda ministry to revolutionary "superweapons". Most of these weapons it is believed were only prototypes, and never reached  combat readiness till too late in the War to have a decisive military effect.

The V-l and V-2 rockets, however saw considerable deployment against Great Britain, and come from  the same pool of highly advanced armament concepts.

The Wunderwaffen failed to meet their strategic objectives in Nazi Germany's favor at a time when the war was already strategically lost.  They did however represent designs and prototypes that were in some cases decades ahead of their time.

Credible speculation has arisen that some higher echelon and sizeable elements of the Nazi movement escaped along with highly advanced weapons and technology establishing secret colonies in Antarctica, South America, as well as extraterrestrial locales.

Some of this weaponry and technology included aircraft  carriers comparable to those in use today, Rocket U boats, V-Class missiles capable of reaching North America, rocket-powered high altitude reconnaissance aircraft ,

The Sun Gun- a parabolic mirror in orbit designed to focus sunlight onto specific locations on the Earth's surface - At a research center in Hillersleben a group of German Scientists were designing a "space station" 5,100 miles up, from which a "sun gun" would leave the the entire Earth vulnerable. A satellite equipped with a parabolic mirror in orbit designed to focus sunlight onto specific locations on the Earth's surface. The year was 1945. The Allied victory in Europe ended the Nazi plans for a Star Wars comeback. Their research had its basis in plans developed by German physicist Hermann Oberth in 1929. Theoretically , the sun-gun could destroy an entire city .

A post-war article in the New York Times ridiculed the sun-gun idea, stating : "There is reason ... to believe that the rocket experts were merely dreaming over their ersatz beer." However the Times writer was probably not aware of many other achievements on the the Nazi scientists.

The rocket originally slated to carry the Sun Gun into space– the A11– eventually became the foundation for the Saturn V, the engine that carried the Apollo astronauts into orbit and to the moon.

Tank Mounted night-vision equipment  and The "Vampir" - an active infrared weapon. Used in combat in February 1945. Eastern Front veteran reports consist of snipers shooting at night with the aid of 'peculiar non-shining torches coupled with enormous optical sights' mounted on their rifles.

Silbervogel (Silverbird) a planned sub-orbital antipodal bomber , was one of a number of designs considered for an "Amerika Bomber" mission. The term antipodal bomber came into use after the War.

and last but certainly not least  Die Glocke or the Bell which was in effect a Nazi Flying Saucer
